Prepare for class

  1. Read Paul Wong's directions for writing a research proposal.
  2. Write a research proposal for your Unit 2 project (see Slide 6). You do not have to follow Wong's directions to the letter; they were written for a different population of students. But you will find that much of his directions are readily adaptable to our purposes. Where he talks about the "literature review," substitute an annotated bibliography of 9 or more sources. Include scholarly and reference sources in your list, and you may use other types of sources, as well.
  3. Drop your research proposal into the Blackboard digital dropbox.

    Prepare for class

    1. Final draft of your Unit 2 research project
    2. Drop your draft in the Blackboard digital dropbox by 6 p.m. Be sure your paper has your name in the file name and on the first page or title page. Because your classmates may want to follow up on your research for their Unit 3, it is essential that you submit your final draft on schedule. Late projects will be penalized 1 letter grade for each day late; no exceptions.
