I keep regular office hours, and you should feel free to drop in during these times to ask questions and get advice on work in progress. I will also be happy to consult with you on writing you are assigned in other courses. Use the "comment" function at the office hours site to let me know if and when you'd like an appointment. If nothing works for you during office hours, we can set up another time. Feel free to ask questions over email or AIM (ProfBfromWV); I will usually be able to respond fairly quickly.

You may, of course, seek formal or informal tutoring from friends, family, or hired tutors. In such cases, you are responsible for assuring that the tutoring adheres to the ethical standards of the SU Writing Center. If your tutoring exceeds these ethical standards, you may be in violation of the course plagiarism policy and subject to the penalties established in SU policy.)

I recommend that you avail yourself freely of the resources provided by the Writing Center.

Whenever Bird Library is open, its reference librarians are on duty to help you choose, narrow, and develop a topic and to help you locate and evaluate sources. Online assistance is also available, and the library's homepage provides a list of "research tools" that may be useful for your work in a variety of courses.
