Assignment for January 27
To prepare for class on January 27,
- Browse the text in composition history that has been assigned to you, and prepare to report to the class on its methods and methodology.
- Read White, Tropics of Discourse, introduction (1-26); Becky will summarize & lead discussion. You may find it useful to consult Hans Kellner's entry "Hayden White" in the Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism. Go to the library catalogue, and click on "electronic resource." Then you'll enter your SUID number and last name (lower case), and then you'll get into the Guide.
In class:
- Discussion of White, Tropics of Discourse, introduction (1-26)
- Information literacy workshop: using online library databases
- Information literacy workshop: using online reference guides

Hmmmm.... I got through the library log-in page, but then I got to an individual Johns Hopkins login page, for which I don't have a password. Anybody find this directly? Or, Treasured Professor, can you offer a path from the library site that is not a link?
