Attendance
I'm figuring out who's "on" and who's not. Let me know if I have any of this wrong: Jeremiah, Denise, Ty, Gale, Jen, Kelly, Tyra, Aleshia, Derek, Carolyn, and Chris are "attending" class today; Dianna, Ruby, Ina, Elisa, and Vanessa are not. Correct?

Well hi there Becky and all. I just walked in to school and Denise asked me where the hell I was....HUH? I left last night at 7pm (my office) and I have been having trouble with the server at home....so I had no idea that we were doing this today live time....my apologies...I'll get this right this week, including the steam of comments and postings throughout the week....is there anything you'd like me to do today or in the next few days to atone? di

As you can see by dianna's entry, I'm still with you.

Thanks, everybody. & glad to know that Vanessa's there and that Dianna finally caught up! Dianna, yes, this means you'll have to do some catch-up after class. I hear by the IM rumor mill that Elisa's on, too.

Some folks are thinking that next week (when we have to do this again), we might set everybody up on IM as well as on the blog. Are you willing to try TWO unfamiliar technologies? It will help if everybody's in the classroom. And next week, by the grace of god and george, you won't have to switch classrooms in midstream.

i'm here. trying to figure out how to read the blog and respond accordingly. don't know what happened with my post about my book. hopefully, i can find it...out there...in cybespace... anyway, i'm here.

I would be willing, and I think IM would really help get a conversation going.

definitely a train ride...everybody hold on.

Tyra pointed out the virtues of using Blackboard's chat function... we might consider that instead since it's already set up and we wouldn't have to do the whole invitation/acceptance thing...

we've been discussing this IM thing--i don't know any reason aim would work better than doing it through blackboard, but whichever is fine w/me.
(i'll be willing to be here to help anybody not used to the blackboard stuff get in & see how it works, if you like)

Jen - do you have an IM account already? if so, how might we find you?
