Course description
The CCR catalogue offers this description of CCR 611: "CCR 611 Development of Modern Composition Studies Situates historically the development of composition studies in American higher education from 1960s to present. Theory and research, pedagogical practices, theoretical and sociocultural influences on the field." In Spring 2005, the course will focus on the active situating of historical developments in the field. In this course we will consume and synthesize secondary accounts of the history of composition, but more importantly, we will produce, from primary research, our own accounts of that history.
