I Want to Populate the Wiki

I was initially concerned that developing a Wiki would take too much knowledge of coding, but apparently it's as easy as blogging. Would it be possible for me to begin populating the Comp Rhet Wiki that Collin set up as my project for this class? I would research and write entries on notable figures (A.S. Hill, I.A. Richards, Kenneth Burke, etc), key conceptual frameworks (process, product, etc), and other areas of interest. It would be a way cool online guide that has potential for growing well beyond the scope of the course and this program to help others who are studying rhet/comp to get an idea of the field and many of its interconnected ways.

I think it would be terrific if the research you (and others) do for this course becomes useful to the 711 wiki. I don't, however, think that what you're describing here would involve the kind of in-depth, focused research that I had in mind for 611. If I'm wrong, feel free to provide more details.

I had envisioned populating the wiki with all of the things I don't know about when I read a history of comp (or at least the major ones that I can fit in). Basically I envisioned it as mapping someone like Crowley's book so that there is some connection and cohesion between the parts. I see what you mean about in-dept, focused research. I'm not sure that this would be more than synthesizing ideas, though I'd have to do some legwork to actually find the answers to the shifts/movements in comp that get confusing.

Anyway, it seems like the other is more along the lines of projects, so I guess I'll go with that for now.
