timetable and coding

It occurred to me that perhaps it would be a good idea to upload the timetable and coding that we brought into class last week. I'm going to try to copy and paste my tables...

Project Timetable

3/03/05 Complete timetable for RP. Develop coding system for research. Bring copies to class. Finish White’s book. Preview deCerteau and Burke for usefulness. Make sure I have all the books (I do—except for Parks, due to arrive mid-March).

3/10/05 Order composition hit books in order of priority (most likely Berlin, Crowley, Miller, North, then Harris and Parks as time allows). Read, analyze, summarize and code the first book to account for usefulness and any gaps in my coding system. Revise coding system as necessary. Continue reading over Spring Break.

3/24/05 Post annotated bibliography and research notes (after Spring Break research).

3/31/05 Read, analyze, summarize, and code (what I could not get to over break). Begin work on draft.

4/07/05 Post preliminary draft of project that begins to evaluate and compare findings.

4/14/05 Read and respond to the drafts of two classmates.

4/28/05 Use the feedback from peers to prepare and post my final draft.

5/06/05 Respond in depth to two peer projects.

Wrap up loose ends as necessary!!

OK, looks like no table, so the coding should be interesting...

Page # Passage, quoted or paraphrased. Note impressions of White’s lens: master trope; aesthetic, epistemological and ethical elements, as well as ideologies.

I will prepare a table such as this for each of the books I am reading to keep track of thoughts, and impressions.

Master Table

Master Trope Aesthetic Epistemological Ethical Ideology
Berlin
Crowley
Miller
North
Harris
Parks?

I will attempt to develop an overall classification for each writer’s work according to my reading notes and my understanding of White’s categories.
It didn't work...:o(
