Conference finals notes
Big Ten: Minnesota is not going to get to the Final Four this year. Janel isn't backed by the team she had last year.
Big East: If Rutgers has what it takes, I sure couldn't see it tonight. And this is the first time I've seen them play this year. I've heard all about the swath they've been cutting—but not tonight, that's for sure. Connecticut may have gone into the contest as #11 nationally, but they are a Program, and they were on their home court. Watching what happened makes me a bit apprehensive about Colgate's prospects against Holy Cross tomorrow night. But if Brass's scoring is on the upswing; if Al can spread out the defense with her three-pointers; and if some combination of Molly, Leo, and the Megans step up, Colgate can pull it off.
