Snow days

Both Syracuse and Earlville are forecast for snow showers tonight and tomorrow. And in fact, it's snowing in Earlville right now. However, there's no warning banner running across the Weather Channel's website for these locales, so apparently we're not due to catch the hell that's heading for the coast.

Even if we do, I don't care. It's going to take one jim-dandy, whiz-bang, whopping storm to keep me from my commute now. Tomorrow morning I'll be driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with four-wheel drive. When class starts at 9:30 tomorrow morning, I'll be there.

(You didn't really think I'd quit blogging about the weather, did you? Samantha, Krista, and Marcia—this is your fault! Tyra tried in vain to put a stop to this!)

Hope your drive went well today. Pictures would be nice here...(weather or truck).

Weather: 5" of snow in Earlville last night. (Sorry, no pix.) Madison County didn't plow or salt 12B or 46, so the first 20 minutes of my drive was on washboard ice. I didn't care; I just cranked that sucker down into 4-wheel drive and tooled down the road. Carefully.

And then I went to the gas station and filled it up for the first time: $2.33 a gallon; $35 for the fillup. Holy sheet, mon.

Pix of truck will appear here once we don't have to stand on ice to take them!

Hurray!
Enjoy your new wheels. I envy you, though
my 6-cyl. Camry has some respectable get-up-n-go
on dry pavement.
