In the Self-Help Hall of Fame, this one should surely have a place. It's a peculiar piece of journalism.

Validate: "You're...ummm...not entirely wrong?"
Express regret: "If I'd known that you'd hear about it...ummm...I would have been more careful?"
Take responsibility: "No, really. I should have been more careful."
