Clancy Made Me Do It
And now that I've found the site, I can't get off it. Here, for example, is my putative "real" age:
You Are 25 Years Old |
25
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |
One of the options at this site, by the way, is to find out at what age you will die. Uh, pass.

Um, I just did mine, and it told me that I'm 33. Hellooooooooo. I'm 32! Scary. Boring.

Update: the good thing about the "When will you die" test is that one of the questions is "Do you have a dog?" I'm apparently going to die when I'm 67: "You're pretty average when it comes to how you live....And how you'll die as well." nice.

Yeah, when I'm just in the right mood, I'll do the when-will-you-die test, because it's occurred to me that the thing will probably tell me I'm already deceased.

Hey, I'm 26! Let's get together and do all those 20-something activities, Becky. :-)
I think it was the preference for cake and ice cream over wine that did brought my age down.

I picked the wine over the ice cream, but it was Spongebob that kept my age down, I'm thinkin.
20-something activities? Halsey Street in Chicago has some great blues joints. At one memorable C's, I stayed out all night on Halsey Street on Saturday night, went back to my hotel & picked up my bags, and then caught a 5:00 a.m. flight. That was twenty-something, when I was actually forty-something. Now that I'm fifty-something, I think I'd be lucky to make it to midnight. But wait! What am I saying! I'm only 25!
