Smelly Freddy
That's the cat's new name. It's not that BP and I can smell him, but that all the other cats can. The indoor girls are steering clear of him. When he's been sitting in a windowsill, after he departs the others go over and sniff the sill, scandalized by his wildness, I suppose.
And outside, Geraldine is in heat again, and she's circling the house, crying for her favorite partner, a whole string of wannabees trailing her. And Geraldine's favorite partner is sitting in our windows, howling for her. Just because he no longer has the equipment doesn't mean he doesn't have the desire. It's a zoo right here in downtown Earlville.
Our vet says to exercise patience. Once Fred's testosterone levels subside, his desire to mate will, too.

Stinky! You've got a cat you can call "Stinky"!
I've always wanted a cat named Stinky.
