And behold, it was good
Tomorrow I meet my classes for the first time: an intro comp plus an advanced research writing course. This morning I sent an email to all the people in the FYC, telling them where the course website was, and also giving them my IM address and telling them to ping me if they had questions. This evening one of them did; we've settled where she can buy which books for my section of the course.
I'm a complete fan of technologies that allow me to open up lines of communication with students I haven't even met yet.
