Grocery meme

"View other people's grocery lists." Just my kind of invitation. Oh yeah, I'm hooked. I read and read through these things. (If you monkey around on the site, you'll find a variety of ways to view and browse. Emperor Yamamoto's Eggs likes the Top Ten version.) This all comes from somebody kooky enough to pick up abandoned shopping lists in parking lots, keep them, scan them, post them, and organize them. My kind of person, oh yeah.

So of course I think, well, nobody will ever find my grocery list in a parking lot (sob!) cuz it's on my Palm Pilot, and the one thing (knock on wood) that I haven't done to my PDA yet is abandon it in a parking lot. (Over the past five years I've drowned two and smashed a third on a hardware store floor.) Despite the alluring advice at 43 folders, my to-dos are still on the PDA, not on index cards. (People who remember me from the TCU days when I was a Post-It addict are no doubt sighing with relief.)

In honor of The Billy Keaggy's mania, I offer below the fold what's on my grocery list right now, replete with the capitalization, spellings, and abbreviations as they are on my list. And yeah, I guess I'm suggesting a meme: What's on your list, right now? I'd be fascinated to know.

Boston fern
Kashi bars
#2 Coffee filters
Fine sea salt
Parmesan cheese
White win
Dr. Pepper
Grapefruit juice
Pt fz bags
Cat food
Paper towels
Sandra's groceries

And one last thing for you Syracuse folks: OMG, I organize my grocery list according to where things are shelved in the Fayetteville Wegman's.

You need "SplashShopper" - the most amazing PDA time waster, oops, time saver EVER. Click on quantity, record price if you like, then organize by location, or reorganize by type (dairy, veggies, etc) in case you have to go to a strange store or your favorite store reorganizes itself. You can do books according to topic, author, category, or your local Borders organization as well . . . . . . movies . . . OMG I love it!
