SIPs

What uses might be made of this information? I've been doing some (very modest) redesign of my website, and as I checked links, I discovered the SIPs ("statistically improbable phrases") for my 1999 book, Standing in the Shadow of Giants. I'm sort of nonplussed by this and can't think of anything clever to say. The information seems utterly useless yet simultaneously intriguing. Why does Amazon bother?

And one more thing: plagiarism policies is my #1 SIP? Dude, WTF?

I'm lovin' "juridical lexicon". What a great name for a band!

Yes, I'm afraid that one of the effects of Amazon's SIPs is to let you know what silly jargon you use in your writing :)

TYVM. Collin did a template that I was working from. And a few weeks ago Tyra was at my house, took some pix, and sent me copies. Turns out she's a damned fine photographer, and I just loved the grasshopper in the lily, in part because BP & I often refer to ourselves as "grasshoppers" (in the sense from the old fable in which ants provide for their future and grasshoppers do not). And George has been patiently answering a barrage of questions from his HTML-challenged colleague. So kudos gratefully accepted, but it's definitely a collaborative work :)
