well, *that's* your problem, then; you can't work miracles because you're sleep-depped b/c you're sleeping with the lights on!

i, however, am *not* sleeping with the lights on, and so have no excuse for how in a whole week i've been working and working and yet have neither finished the grading nor read more than 2 chapters NOR done any laundry...

Oh lordie I'm such a schmuck that I went out and bought a copy of Getting Things Done today. Clancy swears by it (sorry; can't readily locate one of her posts on it); we'll see if it can do anything to save my bacon. The houseboy, I think, is out of the question. Actually, he's out bowling. And since he's already carrying more than his share of the Chez Howard tasks, I just can't see myself asking him to ride my bike for me.
