Caution: Office supply addicts should not read this post
I'm working on my January 31 presentation for CUNY. I've got a word processing document and PowerPoint open, as well as my old-fashioned theme book. Post-it notes and paper clips are flying fast and furious. In my theme book I make a totally brilliant list that's going not only in the CUNY presentation but also in Plagiarism and Privilege. But it's a little scribbly; it needs some visual aids to help identify the items on the list. So I reach for one of my little plastic baskets, the one that contains file folder labels, CD labels, and color coding labels—the little multicolored 1/4" round dots that you can peel off and stick onto your text. And in the back of the color coding labels package is a little ad for Avery products. And as I reach to throw it away, my eye catches a URL. Yes, fellow sufferers, Avery has its own website. (Of course.) One doesn't have to plow through the OfficeMax and Quill websites, looking for just the right little gadget. One can go to the source. The Source.
