Chronicling Turnitin

The Chronicle of Higher Ed just picked up the Turnitin discussion on Kairosnews. Once again, it's worth wearing one's rhetorical hat when reading their summary. Notice, for example, that objections to Turnitin are "worries" and "concerns" (rather than, for example, "objections" and "critiques"). It's interesting, too, that the anonymous Chronicle writer describes the audience for these worries and concerns as "professors who haven't yet used Turnitin" (italics mine) (rather than, for example, every responsible, ethical educator today) and that no mention is made of the rather lively discussion that's taking place in the comments on Brusin's Kairosnews statement(s).

A random question, maybe, but WHY does Chronicle use anonymous writers?
